The Results of Tests Held on Rubber Compounds with Addition of Hollow Corundum Microspheres

The tests of how HCM impact on the abrasion of rubber compounds were held in independent laboratories. The following results were obtained:

• check rubber compound #1 based on rubbers NDT, (without microspheres), abrasion by GOST 426-77 - 88.2 m³ / TJ
• rubber compound #2 based on rubbers NDT, (with the addition of 5% of HCM), abrasion by GOST 426-77 - 38.5 m³ / TJ

When using HCM in the elastomeric composition based on hydrogenated nitrile rubber HNBR, the abrasion resistance increased from 29 to 146 J / mm³.

Addition of HCM has no effect on the physical and mechanical properties (hardness, strength, etc.)
